NEW! The Federal was an uncommon named grade of the Illinois Watch Co, made in the 16-size bridge Model 4, known as the Getty model, with its distinctive single ratchet wheel and crescent click. This two-tone 17-jewel example has a full set of gilt hardware, a gilded gear train, and gold jewel settings. Freshly serviced with a new mainspring, it fronts a matching imperfect dial and heavy plum hands, and the nickel display case has new glass crystals. Shipped FREE anywhere in America.
NEW! The Monarch was fairly scarce, found so far in just four serial number blocks, totaling roughly 250 watches, according to Seth Thomas Research. This fully-restored 18-size 7-jewel Model 5 comes in the elegant pinstripe pattern and is the highest one logged at SN 305,212. Even better is the matching dial, complete with a correct set of blued hands. The lack of ghost marks on the 20-year gold-filled Star case means this could be an original combination. NEW! A superb carry watch - Waltham's 18-size Model 1883, and this one fronts a special and flawless Roman/Arabic 24-hour dial with blued open morning-glory hands. This 17-jewel Grade 825 has the upgrade micro-regulator and blued screws, and was just serviced with a new mainspring. The Keystone case would make an excellent candidate for display conversion, and is in great shape with a new crystal, a sharp crown, and a French bow. Shipped FREE anywhere in America.
The pattern on Hamilton's first-model 992 mimicked their workhorse 940, with simple pinstripes coming later. The original 4-foot dial has some hairlines behind matching blued hands, and the crisp Illinois case has a sharp crown, a tight bow, and an NOS glass crystal. Shipped FREE anywhere in America.
Here's a perfect first watch, graduation gift, or a daily carry piece - an 18-size Model 5 Elgin from 1889. This gilt 7-jewel Model 73 is in excellent shape after an oil change and a new mainspring. It's equipped with a flawless and correct Roman dial with the script signature and matching blued hands. The nickel-silver case is perfect for showing off with beveled glass crystals, a tight bow, and a new crown. Shipped FREE anywhere in America.
According to Seth Thomas Research this was the only regular pattern to come with conical screws, with a total production of a few thousand. This fully restored and gorgeous 17-jewel Grade 182 dates from the turn of the century. One of Elgin's more curious designs is the 16-size Model 1, nicknamed the Convertible because of it's movable winding pinion to either an open-face or hunting style. This fully restored 15-jewel Grade 50 dates from the early 1880s and looks to be an original combination, with gold balance weights and matching hardware, a flawless Roman dial, correct plum moon hands, and a 25-year gold-filled Dueber case with a new glass crystal and a French bow. Here's a perfect dress carry watch - a two-tone Hampden in a gold display case. This 17-jewel 12-size Model IV is marked "Special" on the movement and carries a very unusual and matching "17-Jewel Special" signature on the double-sunk dial. The blued light spade hands are correct for this model and the Dueber case looks to be original to the movement. Just serviced, ready to carry, and keeping excellent time.
